Cannot cut an anchored box or a grouped box

Cannot cut at the end of a line

Cannot cut a multiple contour box. Use Item->Split first.

Click on the boundary of an item to cut it.

Cutting this box will convert it to a text-path (if necessary), place all of the contents on that path, while maintaining the next and previous box links

Cutting this box will delete the box’s content.
